Job Description

  • Welcome and greet guests. Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know you’re there to personally take care of them. 
  • Memorize menu and daily specials.
  • Make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy.
  • Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services.
  • Anwer phone and take messages.
  • Take food and beverage orders from guests at bar and tables, enter orders in our point-of-sale system which relays orders to the kitchen and bar.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Restaurant’s standard drink recipes in a timely fashion.
  • Learns the names and personally recognize our regulars.
  • Wash and sterilize glassware.
  • Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks, appetizers for bar patrons.
  • Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages.
  • Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
  • Monitor guests alchol consumption to ensure the saftey of every guest.
  • Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change.
  • Be ready and willing to assist fellow bartenders and servers as situations arise.
  • Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
  • Clear and reset tables in bar area.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
  • Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to restaurant manager.
  • Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.


  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience operating a full service bar
  • Strong knowledge of alcohol mixology, drink menus and classic cocktail preparation
  • Ability to stand on feet for an extended period of time
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Excellent customer service skills with strong ability to interact with guests
  • Verbal communication skills, and accurate math and cash handling skills
  • Ability to lift and manuever heavy loads inlcding cases of beer and kegs.
  • Must have exceptional grooming habits.
